Sugar Bomb | Featuring Jason Chrisman

Sugar Bomb is an instrumental modern jazz trio known for their dynamic range in style and composition. They have performed at jazz festivals across the US & as far away as Thailand, where they performed at the Chiang Mai International Jazz Festival in 2025. The trio consists of Jacob Bruner (keyboards), Eli Kahn (bass), and Joe Enright (drums) draws from a wide range of influences spanning classical and jazz to fusion, hip hop, and electronic music. Often categorized as jazz for simplicity’s sake and perhaps highlighting their love for improvisation, Sugar Bomb creates a genre-defying kaleidoscope of musical expression through sensitive, yet high-energy performance and composition.

For this performance they are joined by Jason Chrisman on Sax. Jason Chrisman (Manhattan School of Music Graduate) is an accomplished freelance saxophonist, music instructor, and visual artist based in Asheville, North Carolina. Primarily recognized as a skilled tenor saxophone player, he is an active figure in the local improvisational and contemporary jazz scenes.
