The Jacob Rodriguez Quartet | Featuring Jean Caze
Fri, May 29

Members of this ensemble have been sharing sounds and stages with each other for 25 years and counting. Jean and Jacob first met in their undergrads at Manhattan School of Music in 2001. Jean Caze is a dynamic jazz trumpeter, composer, and educator known for his lyrical tone and inventive improvisation, blending his Haitian roots with modern jazz. A Queens, NY native, he has performed with legends like Herbie Hancock and Aretha Franklin and is a featured soloist with Michael Bublé. He’s joined by Jacob Rodriguez, a longtime member of Bublé’s band whose playing appears on Grammy-winning albums including Michael Bublé Meets Madison Square Garden, Crazy Love, and Higher. Born in Seattle and raised in San Antonio, Rodriguez honed his craft in New York at the Manhattan School of Music, performing with artists such as Aretha Franklin and Ambrose Akinmusire before joining Bublé at 26.
Join them as they perform their original compositions as well as re-arrangements of jazz classics and re-imaginations of music by Phoebe Bridgers, Sufjan Stevens, and others with support from an all-star trio of Alex Taub, Quinn Sternberg, and Joe Enright.
