A sought-after performer, composer, and collaborator, Shana has worked with legendary jazz saxophonist Bennie Maupin, composer and flutist Nicole Mitchell, and Grammy-nominated artists The Foreign Exchange, Nnenna Freelon, and Pierce Freelon. Her cello and composition work spans recordings, television, film, theater, and multidisciplinary performance, including projects for PBS, PBS North Carolina, and OWN Network.
