Hard Bop Explosion | Hotel Eve's One Year Anniversary Weekend

We're closing out Hotel Eve's One Year Anniversary Weekend with an electrifying evening of hard bop, celebrating the music, energy, and spirit of jazz's golden era.

Conceived over a decade ago by pianist Dr. Bill Bares, Hard Bop Explosion was born from a desire to honor the masters of the 1950s who brought soul, swing, and infectious joy to jazz. Paying tribute to legends including Art Blakey, Lee Morgan, and Cannonball Adderley, this powerhouse quintet captures the fiery improvisation, driving rhythms, and unmistakable spirit of the hard bop movement.
