Quinn Sternberg's Mind Beach

Mind Beach is the newest project led by Asheville bassist and composer Quinn Sternberg. The band is quickly gaining a following throughout the Carolinas for both their daring improvised forays and their commitment to song craft. Mind Beach is constantly evolving and adding new repertoire while also performing music from Sternberg’s five studio albums. The sound is fluid and genre-defying, drawing influence from all styles of music to create an intriguing yet universal sound that DownBeat Magazine has described as “complex yet digestible.” Joining Quinn in the band are three of Asheville’s most sought after players, Jacob Rodriguez (sax), Alex Taub (keyboard), and Joe Enright (drums). Together the quartet communicate seamlessly, combining their personalities and musical tendencies into one common sound. With every performance Mind Beach brings a fresh and explorative energy to Sternberg’s compositions, sharing a raw and honest musical experience with their audience. *Reservations/advance tickets are recommended for preferred seating but are not required.
